OVER at the WSJ Tech Live with an Exclusive AR Experience

2022-10-26

Today is the last day of the WSJ TechLive Event held at the beautiful Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach. The exclusive event, organized annually by the Wall Street Journal, aims to bring together leading figures from the world of media and technology. During the three-day event in California, guests participate in dinners, lunches, masterclasses, and conferences during which they discuss what has been achieved and what the future holds for the industry.

Although almost recently born, the field of technological innovations is also the sector that most influences how humans interface with information.

Walk Back through the Future: WSJ Tech Live in AR

We wanted to avoid spoiling what we had prepared for WSJ Tech Live. But now we can finally tell you everything about it.

Over the Reality, as the event’s Emerging Tech Partner, prepared an exclusive AR experience where participants go hunting for @WSJ Tech Live “Totems”, which contained a famous #WSJ story that made headlines.

What made the experience even more original was the partnership with Solos Glasses. It enabled participants to experiment with new ways we could all interface with information in the future by providing them with innovative devices.

The treasure hunt involved collecting and listening to nine stories and a dedicated POAP.

To introduce the experience, Diego Di Tommaso, COO and Co-founder of the company, gave an introductory speech in which he explained the idea behind OVER and what goals it has set for the future.

“OVER is an Augmented Reality Metaverse. So basically, what we do is connect Augmented Reality Experiences into geographic locations -. Said Diego – We do it by dividing the world into hexagons.”

The Treasure Hunt took place throughout the event, and the participants were thrilled to have experienced such an experience.
